Art 1 Final Portfolio

- What is your least favorite material to work with and why? How did you deal with it, what didn’t you like about it.  Please explain.

i didn't like the linoleum/printmaking because, it was the messiest piece and it was the most time consuming and difficult piece. the cutting was just annoying. the tools made cutting hard because you have to cut piece by piece. i dealt with it by just doing it and getting it over with. i really didn't try to make it easy on myself because there was no other way to make it easier.i just overall hated this piece only because it was frustrating. the difficulty was good for me because things like that make art challenging and more interesting to do. so i guess i got something out of this experience. and the symbol was cool.

What was your favorite material that you used this year? Why do you like working with it?

the cardboard/marble drop/relief was my favorite because it was my most successful piece. you can make anything out of this material. it was time consuming but for the looks it was worth it. all you need for this is ideas and creativity. i loves the easy crafting of it. i also loved the easy cutting of the cardboard. you can absolutely change the shape with the stroke of a blade. and also you can layer this and make it 3d its very cool.

- Which project was your least successful? Explain why you consider this work of art unsuccessful? If you were to create this project over, what changes would you make?

my least successful piece was the Stenciled Selfi. i slacked off and didn't know what i was doing and my project was really bad from doing this. i didnt do my best work as well and a better background. the only thing that was good was the picture but i messed it up with my sacking. i would change everything about this. but not the selfi. i would change the colors of the background. i would change the way i traces the darks from the lights.and most of all the cutting.
