Art 2 final

1).These two pieces are my most recent pieces and they are my last ones I will not make anymore art after this. But the drawing was the part I stugglef on with the snake/hand puppet or whatever it was a learning experience I wish to take more time and concentrate
2).I feel like pencil is my strength and chalk pastel because I've had so much time with them both. Paint in general is my weakness I feel like I don't have any control over them and I can't use them correctly like the techniques and stuff.maybe work on paint more is how I can improve.

3).I should take more time on these pieces and concentrate it would have came out better. If I were to be given this same assignment again I would do so much better I have a game plan.

3). The snake animal eyes project was my favorite it was really straight forward and it was simple and fun most of all.

These are all my projects and they are all facial features that are pencil I shades and made them look goofey

this is my metaphor its a shark stencil and it goes with any background that I desire

this my is self directed I originally wanted to do colored pencils but charcoal and chalk pastel worked perfectly

this is my blind portrait and the person I had was jc Cunningham originally I was going to do a jeep because he loves jeeps but something drew me towards a wolf so I did a charcoal and paint version

Story art

This was my wolf monkey thing it was the second time in uses acrylic paint and it turned out not what was planned but it was good enough I love it and it is mine silver wolf told my life story it was to be brave and stay strong like a wolfmonkey

Essential question

My first time using a paint so I just decided to spaltter it on my paper it was very good because it was 3 primary colors and it blended well and then I added the question where is killroy? Killroy is right here hehehaha so there he is.

Donald trump pres

I did this with chalk pastel and I used a series of brushes the make the colors lighter I was inspired by donald trump because he is a heroic character

it was challenging,and I kindof over came that. I'm really proud of me self and I'm sad because the bottom broke in the kiln.butboverall this was a good piece

• Has your definition of art clanged since from the beginning of this class?  Yes I feel like art is a class to actually grow and have fun in.

• Regardless of whether a project was successful or not, describe the one where you learned, grew, or developed the most from?  Please explain. After a bad one I feel like i saw my mistakes and I learned from them so most likely the next time is so better

•  Choose a place or artwork where the subject matter reflects you as an artist.  One that you have a personal connection to.  Please explain. The cardboard peice it was  a small peice no one remembered and I had a lot of carboard pieces in art1! And I had so much fun with them.

•  Regardless of whether you liked or disliked a project, which one did you learn, grow, or developed the most from?  Please explain. I think the animal head because you totally chose the head and you had to make it good.
  
•  Choose 1 piece of art that you used skills and techniques learned from previous projects.  Discuss your growth as an artist and how you incorporated these skills and techniques to create the piece.   Provably the cardboard because I had a lot of practice cutting it up and making it look good.

First off this piece. I liked it because

I also likes this one because not was really fun. I like the chiseling part it felt like I was doing a ice sculpture. Inreallynliked it . Umm then dryin part of this substance was really hot 😐🔥💦💦and that was alright. Overall I likes this one a lot. 

Owhh I really like the shape of this one it really looks like a tall gravy boat thingy idk I honestly like this one the only bad part is when unglazed it 😒 then it got ugly real quick.

I loved this sloth head it wa really creative. I also felt a this point of the sculpture year Iv grown as and artist. The animal heads help everyone grow as an artist cause its one I the prices that you choose and i feel it was good or me aswell.

Art3 final

1).So these two pieces were hard I was really carefree about these two I thought it was going to be easy but it wasn't I will try to approach them differently and see them as a challenge rather than an easy project grade

3). The acrylic wolf is probably the one I struggled with the most it was hard I didn't expect it to be hard and that's what brought me down I overcame it by using silver and on a white canvas it was beautiful to me

4).the acryllic wolf was my favorite it made me better through out the semester and it made me work and kept me busy

This free project was challenging but it was fun ended up with a nice paint brush holder made with paint brushes 🎯👌 but I threw it away 😔

This was when it wasn't fired and glazed but it turned out a tanish color and I really isn't like it so of with it's head

This dwelling piece was annoying and I really didn't like it. As far as ideas my project didn't go anywhere. 

computer lab day:1

Pit firing is the original method for “baking” clay.  It dates back nearly 30,000 years ago.  This process is done typically in a hole in the ground, or a pit, pots are placed in the pit and burned.  Pit firing is an atmospheric process all of the colors and patterns are derived from the process and what is consume in the fire.  Items that are burned will turn to vapor and will swirl around the pieces in the pit.  If the pieces are hot enough to have their pores open the colored vapor will enter the pore and stay there, if not pot will not have color besides black, gray, or white. There are several variations in which to do a pit fire, this will become up in smoke.

Saggar firing was originally developed to protect wares from ash-slagging and flame-flashing in wood firings, but in contemporary use, with clean-burning gas firings, the process is used in exactly the opposite way
Saggar Firing is the method of creating confined atmospheres within a container or saggar.  The saggar can be made out of anything depending on the type of firing from the traditional refractory clay to newspaper.  Originally saggars were used to protect the finish from the debris flying around the firing chamber from the wood or coal fuel source. Roughly 200 years ago, potters decided to reverse this and use the saggars to hold material near the pieces to dramatically change the finish.

I think this was my favorite but it was really hard to add texture. The individual hair strands too the most amount of time.

I think that this piece took the least amount of time,wasn't really my best but I still really like it.

clown

i didn't really didnt like the subject of the piece. i liked how the clown came out just just not the items in the background. i like how the color turned out in the background it really looks trippy and just cool. i just like my creativity in this piece. i also just love the clown really its creepy and questionable and i love it.
